Once upon a time in 1960 there was a new football team named the NY JETS . The first thing they needed was a quarterback and they found Al Dorow who played for the New York Titans (forerunner of the New York Jets) in 1960 and 1961. Joe Namath came to the team in 1965 and led the team to the the famous most memorable upset in NFL history on Jan. 12, 1969, beating the Baltimore Colts, 16-9, in Super Bowl III in Miami, Fla., Jan, 12, 1969. During the years since we have seen a few guys that rallied the fans but this was the exception. We had guys like Richard Todd,Ken O’Brein,Boomer Esiason,Vinny Testaverde,Chad Pennington and Brrett Favre that tried to bring back the glory with no success. This year with our No. 3 overall selection in April’s draft we picked quarterback Sam Darnold from USC. Josh McCOWN and Teddy Bridgewater make up the 3 quarterbacks in the 2018 JETS camp that fans hope will bring back glory days. Let the good times roll starting on Mon. Sept 10th against the Detroit Lions and fans live happily ever after!!!
